River City Roots Run - 4 Mile Run / Walk

Date: Sunday, September 16, 2007 Registatrion: On-site registration and packet pick up begins at 9am. Pre-register online here with active.com. Race Start Time: 11 am Start: XXXX’s (Circle Square) at end of North Higgins, Downtown Finish: Intersection of Main & Ryman, Downtown

Course: Race starts at the bricks on Alder Street continuing up Duncan Hill. Runners will then travel down through the beautiful Greenough Park and finish in the heart of Downtown on Main St. For a map, click here (pdf).

Age Divisions: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69, 70+

Awards & Prizes: Each prize will be awarded to both men's and women's winners
1st: $250 & 2 round trip tickets to Las Vegas
2nd: $150
3rd: $100

Nutrition & Aid: There will be one aid station along the course. There will also be snacks & hydration at the end of the race.

Walkers: Walkers are welcome. We love our walkers!

Strollers: Strollers are welcome but will be asked to start towards the back.

Sorry, No Dogs Allowed in the race or on the course.

Check in Friday, Sept 15 from 5:30-7:30pm at Currents in McCormick Park, or Saturday
morning, 7:50 - 8:50 am in McCormick Park.


Prize Drawing: 10:30 a.m. at McCormick Park.
Entry Fee: $15 (Register before Sept. 8 at 5pm to receive a T-Shirt) Proceeds benefit
Parks & Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund.

Late entries, September 9 - 13, $15. Sorry, no t-shirt available after September 8.

I am particularly interested in the 55-59 male results aqs the was "won" by a 27 year old person...

The results are posted and your age group, and the age group I just left for the 60+ group was won by 57 year old Steve Weiler, who runs like a 27 year old. The ONLY good thing about turning 60 was no longer being in the same age group as Steve W..
